SUMMARY STATEMENT OR LEGAL NOTICE LANGUAGE:

 

Council wishes to clarify the intent of a motion approved January 15, 2019, related to preliminary draft Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Code amendments for Cherry Point (the January 15, 2019, motion was as follows: Donovan moved to send amended preliminary draft dated December 2019, including tracked Changes from the Octover 2019 version, to the Planning Commission)

 

 

 

 

Please note:  During  discussion of the above item at the January 29, 2019, Special Committee of the Whole meeting, Councilmember Browne presented a resolution requesting the County Executive provide staff resources and funding to allow Cascadia Law Group to complete Contract No. 201708008 related to legal ways the County may choose to limit the negative impacts on public safety, transportation, the economy, and environment from crude oil, coal, liquified petroleum gases, and gas transshipment from the Cherry Point UGA.  The proposed resolution was amended during the committee meeting and a motion was approved to refer the amended resolution to the full council at the evening meeting (motion carried 5-2, with Brenner and Byrd opposed).

 

Following the Special Committee of the Whole meeting, the above referenced resolution was assigned agenda bill number AB2019-113 (please see AB2019-113 for additional information).
