Special Presentation
Report from the Public Works Department

Elizabeth Kosa, Public Works Department Director, read from the
Presentation Notes (on file). She answered if there is any opportunity for
additional support for adjudication since the support is ending in June but
applications can be submitted until May of next year, and stated people can
still go through the Department of Ecology or the court system itself. The
support that is ending is the extra outreach that was funded through a grant
because the grant is coming to a close.
Gary Stoyka, Public Works Department, answered whether we have heard
about the additional acquisition grant that we were awaiting from the federal
government, and stated they have not heard anything on that second
acquisition. They did, however, get the second elevation one, and that one
should be coming to Council at the next council meeting. He answered if
there has been communication from his office with Representative Rick
Larsen’s office, and stated he would have to check when they last brought it
up, but they bring it up regularly.
