SUMMARY STATEMENT OR LEGAL NOTICE LANGUAGE:

The State has allocated grant money to Whatcom County for state fiscal years 2024 and 2025 (July 1, 2023 - June 30, 2025) to conduct climate planning activities in association with the Comprehensive Plan and development regulations update required by the Growth Management Act. The County is entering into an interagency agreement with the State of Washington to receive $475,000 in climate planning grant funds.  This state funding will be used to reimburse the County for consultant services and staff time to conduct the update.
