SUMMARY STATEMENT OR LEGAL NOTICE LANGUAGE:
This brief update is to share with Council the current efforts to support extreme smoke and heat response for vulnerable populations, with a specific lens on those that are unhoused. There is currently an effort across various divisions with Whatcom County Health and Community Services to address the issue, even with limited resources and staffing in place.
