Ordinance adopting amendments to Whatcom County Code Title 17, Flood Damage Prevention

 

BODY

SUMMARY STATEMENT OR LEGAL NOTICE LANGUAGE:

 

The proposed ordinance adopts amendments to Whatcom County Code Title 17, Flood Damage Prvention, including:

 

-  Reference to a new Flood Insurance Study (FIS) and Flood Insurance Map (FIRM) panels for Whatcom County;

-  Amendments required to make Title 17 consistent with the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR’s); and

-  Revisions recommended by FEMA for clarification purposes.

 

The FIS and FIRM will become effective on January 18, 2019.
