Discussion regarding a proposed resolution to declare Whatcom County Flood Control Zone District personal property, a single family house, as surplus and approve sale (Council acting as the Whatcom County Flood Control Zone District Board of Supervisors)

SUMMARY STATEMENT OR LEGAL NOTICE LANGUAGE:

 

Per RCW and Whatcom County Code, the Public Works River and Flood Division recommends the surplus and sale of Whatcom County Flood Control Zone District (FCZD) personal property, a single-family house located at 2096 Valley Highway, Acme, Washington (Whatcom County tax parcel number 370508 043518 0000).  The house will be sold by sealed bid and the house will be required to be relocated off the FCZD real property to a property that is located outside of frequently flooded and geohazard areas as defined by Whatcom County Critical Areas Ordinance.  A minimum bid of $500.00 is recommended due to the complexity and high cost of the house move
