TITLE
Request authorization for the County Executive to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with Unity Care Northwest for the Way Station in the amount of $2,000,000
BODY
SUMMARY STATEMENT OR LEGAL NOTICE LANGUAGE:
Unity Care Northwest successfully applied for, and was awarded, a Federal Health Resources and Services Administration Grant (HRSA). This grant award is in the amount of $2,000,000 and is for the sole purpose of Capital Funding for the Way Station project. Typically, grants can be conveyed to a third party via a Sub-Recipient agreement, and the Council sees these agreements frequently. However, Federal grants cannot be conveyed to a third party. In order for UCNW to provide this funding for the Way Station, the two parties have drafted this binding document that ensures that this federal funding can be used for the sole purpose of constructing the Way Station.
