Resolution adopting the 2023 budget for the Whatcom County Flood Control Zone District and Subzones (Council acting as the Flood Control Zone District Board of Supervisors)

SUMMARY STATEMENT OR LEGAL NOTICE LANGUAGE:

Consistent with RCW 86.15.140, the Flood Control Zone District (FCZD) must adopt an annual budget that includes the countywide district and the subzones of the district. The attached resolution establishs the overall budget consistent with the appropriation items outlined in the law.

Public Works respectfully requests that the FCZD Board of Supervisors adopt the attached resolution to establish a 2023 budget for the countywide district and the following subzones:

-                     Acme/Van Zandt Subzone

-                     Lynden/Everson Subzone

-                     Sumas/Nooksack/Everson Subzone

-                     Samish Watershed Subzone

-                     Birch Bay Watershed and Aquatic Resources Management District
