SUMMARY STATEMENT OR LEGAL NOTICE LANGUAGE:
The Planning Agency has reviewed and made recommendations on an emergency text amendment request made by County Council (Resolution 2003-051) to address 115kv electric power lines. Safety concern about loading lines above 100 mw, and the potential for multiple 115kv power lines prompted Council to establish a moratorium on the acceptance of land use applications which has been continually in place since its original adoption in January of 2002 (Ord. 2002-02). Adoption of the proposed language would supercede the current moratorium.
