SUMMARY STATEMENT OR LEGAL NOTICE LANGUAGE:
Perr WCC 3.08.100(A), Public Works Equipment Services requests approval for the County Executive to authorize the purchase of radios and related installation parts on an as-needed basis, not to exceed $200,000.00 in 2024, using the Washington State Contract #00318 (expires December 31, 2026). This approval request will be valid through the current budget biennium, December 31, 2024. The state contract is awarded to multiple manufacturers, including JVC Kenwood, and the purchases will be made through local authorized reseller Communications NW. Public Works anticipates installing new radios in up to 30 WCSO fleet vehicles and up to 10 Maintenance & Operations fleet vehicles in 2024. These are regularly budgeted expenditures, and funds exist in the current Equipment Services budget in the ER&R Fund
